We used PMC to build a Leed Platinum house in Palo Alto, on a cost-plus basis. We also interviewed other contractors but PMC seemed the best, in terms of all-over general satisfaction of clients, experience on “green” houses, knowledge about some of the unique systems we were pioneering in Palo Alto, likeability, and excellent site and technical project managers—and our expectations were fulfilled.  What do we think made PMC so good?  A number of factors: High integrity of owner and his employees.  Really superb site and technical project managers.  Excellent attention to detail in a complicated project.  Good knowledge of and experience in technical aspects of green building.  Great team player in working with architects.  Excellent follow-through.  Clear billing practices and very competent office staff. Continued engagement with clients even after a home is completed and you’ve moved in.  Sensible solutions were arrived at, quickly in almost all cases.   I’d give PMC an unqualified recommendation.
