Kelly Residence

Kelly Residence
Originally a run-down structure nested into the rugged hillside terra580in of Portola Valley, the property was in desperate need of renovation. After two years of construction, Kelly Residence floats above the shifting hillsides, taking in the spectacular valley views. To endure tough weathering of hillside, the house incorporates metal structural steel beams, copper siding, standing seam roof, and gravel roof membrane. Innovative door system and glazing details, combined with careful waterproofing, open up the home to the outdoor as well as highlighting architectural details. Needless to say, the clients and guests will enjoy the home for many years to come.

Project Highlights:

Metal standing seam roofing
Stainless steel front door
Copper sheet metal siding
